A small device that you put into your ipod dock connector based speakers which joins your wifi network and enables you to stream music to the speakers from iTunes, iPod, iPhone, iPad etc. Includes remote volume control, possibly a bluetooth model also. Essentially means you can take your current docks and make them all wireless. With iOS 4.2′s release for ipad, iphone etc, came ‘Airplay’ http which builds on top of AirTunes which has been around for several years now. They’ve now made the standard more open enabling companies like Denon, B&W, iHome and others to build speaker docks that accept Airplay wirelessly. My Idea is to extend this new tool to existing iPod docks – of which there are millions and many of those are high-end (take the bose SoundDock 10 for example, nearly 00 each). The device should be powered by the dock connector, should ideally interface using the sound controls etc. Apply say they’re selling more than 100000000 iOS devices per month. There must be hundreds of millions of the standard ipod docks also. We’re really talking about one plus one here. Say 200000000 people have both an ios device and an ipod dock, 5% of them would like to play wirelessly too their docks and 10% of that 5% will buy our device for , that’s 000000 in sales revenue. Awesome market size.

We had the opportunity to check out Etymotic at the CEA Line Show in NYC. They specilize in custom built earphones. This is great for your ipad, ipod and phone. Just a little experiment that I wanted to try. Basically, I took some of the stock applications from my jailbroken iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3, tethered), including Calculator, Clock (MobileTimer), Compass, Stocks, Voice Memos, and Weather, and put them onto my non-jailbroken iPad 2 via the Crappstore Xcode 3.2.x template. They all worked just fine, except for Voice Memos. I have no idea why it crashes. I also took Installous and MobileTerminal. The actual app for Installous works and functions just fine, it just won’t install anything because Installous is being ran in a sandboxed state. It also needs a number of other things, such as Erica Utilities and UDID Generator, which can’t be installed unless jailbroken. But, you can use Installous to download .ipa files (disclaimer: use it as a try-before-you-buy sort of thing!) and then transfer them onto your computer via iPhone Explorer. MobileTerminal launches, but gives me an error, also because it’s being sandboxed and can’t access anything outside of it. Looks like iDOS is still the only real way to access the iPad 2′s filesystem WITHOUT being jailbroken (since you can mount root directories to access the files). Twitter: twitter.com

I am always on the never ending search to find a decent stylus for the Ipad. I found that Targus/griffin and boxwave make this same pen. I got the griffin version on ebay as it was the easiest to find. If you happen to have a best buy close by you can find the Targus version of it. Works better than Dagi and Pogo hands drown. Does not flake, feels nice on your hands and easy to carry around. All around the best pen for notes and sketching.
